What the 2026 Weather Package includes on each trim
So the 2026 RAV4 is a whole new generation, and Toyota changed the Weather Package quite a bit. On the 2026, the Weather Package is $375 on every trim that offers it. And the 2026 Weather Package only adds a heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers with the de-icer. It doesn't include heated seats anymore, because Toyota made heated front seats standard on every 2026 trim except the LE.
Here's how it breaks down by trim:
- The 2026 XLE Premium, SE and XSE can add the $375 Weather Package, on both the hybrid and the plug-in hybrid. And you don't need to buy any other package first.
- The 2026 Woodland, Limited and GR SPORT come with the heated steering wheel and the de-icer standard, so Toyota doesn't offer the Weather Package on those three trims.
- The 2026 LE doesn't offer the Weather Package, and Toyota doesn't offer any factory packages on the LE at all. So a 2026 LE doesn't come with heated seats, a heated steering wheel or the de-icer from the factory.
The tables below show each 2026 trim. "Standard" means the trim comes with that feature, "Weather Package" means you get that feature by adding the $375 Weather Package, and the starting price is Toyota's price before the destination fee.

Something worth noting is that heated rear seats are only on the 2026 Limited hybrid now. Toyota doesn't offer heated rear seats on any 2026 plug-in hybrid, including the GR SPORT. And if you're in Canada, keep in mind the Canadian 2026 lineup is different. For example, Canadian reviews say the Canadian LE comes with heated front seats, but the US LE doesn't.
How the 2026 cold-weather controls work
Now the biggest change you'll notice on the 2026 is that the heated seats, the cooled seats and the heated steering wheel aren't physical buttons anymore. Reviewers say these controls are now on the 12.9-inch touchscreen, in a climate bar that stays on the screen all the time. And the de-icer is a setting in the touchscreen's climate menu, rather than a button by the steering wheel.
- Cooled seats take an extra tap. Several reviewers point out that you have to tap the heated seat icon first, and then the cooled seat setting shows up in a pop-up.
- There's an auto mode. Reviewers show an auto setting for the heated seats and the heated wheel that follows the cabin temperature you set.
- Heated wheel coverage: I haven't found a 2026 owner or reviewer who says whether the new heated steering wheel warms the whole rim, or only the sides like the 2019 to 2025 RAV4. I'll update this guide once someone confirms it.
- Remote start: On the RAV4World forum, several 2026 owners say remote climate through the Toyota app has been unreliable so far. And I haven't found a 2026 owner who confirms the heated seats or wheel turn on with remote start.
What about the 2027 RAV4?
So as of October 2026, Toyota hasn't announced the 2027 RAV4 for the US yet. When Toyota publishes the 2027 features and prices, I'll add the 2027 RAV4 to this guide.
So hopefully this helps you figure out whether the 2026 Weather Package makes sense on the trim you're looking at.
