What the Pre-Collision System and radar cruise are
So every 2019 to 2026 RAV4 comes with Toyota Safety Sense, or TSS, as standard on every trim. Basically, TSS is Toyota's name for the group of driver help features that watch the road ahead.
Now the Pre-Collision System, or PCS, is the automatic emergency braking. PCS warns you and can brake for you if you're about to hit a car or a person ahead. And Radar Cruise Control is the cruise control that keeps a set gap to the car in front, slowing down and speeding up on its own.
Both PCS and radar cruise use the same two sensors. One is a radar at the front of the RAV4, and the other is a camera behind the windshield. So when one of those two sensors can't see, the RAV4 pauses everything that depends on that sensor.
| RAV4 | Toyota Safety Sense version | How the messages look |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 to 2022 gas, Hybrid, and 2021 to 2022 Prime | TSS 2.0 | "Pre-Collision System Unavailable," "Radar Cruise Control Unavailable," "Front Camera Unavailable" |
| 2023 to 2025 gas, Hybrid, and Prime (Plug-in Hybrid in 2025) | TSS 2.5 | The same messages, plus "Radar In Self Calibration" |
| 2026 Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid | TSS 4.0 | An icon plus "System Stopped..." messages |
Something to note is that the RAV4 Prime and the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid use the same Toyota Safety Sense version as the gas RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid of the same year. Toyota's 2021 and 2022 RAV4 Prime manuals cover Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. The 2023 and 2024 RAV4 Prime manuals cover Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including the "Radar In Self Calibration" message. And the 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid manual covers Toyota Safety Sense 4.0. So everything here applies to the Prime and the Plug-in Hybrid too.
"Unavailable" or "Malfunction": the beep tells you which one you have
So the most useful thing to know is the beep. On a 2019 to 2025 RAV4, the PCS warning light on the gauge screen tells you how serious the problem is by whether a beep comes with the light.
- The PCS light comes on with no beep: Toyota says PCS "has become temporarily unavailable." Basically, the sensor can't see right now. So follow the message on the screen, which usually means cleaning or waiting.
- The PCS light comes on with a beep: Toyota says "a malfunction has occurred" and to have the RAV4 inspected by a Toyota dealer immediately.
- The PCS light is on steady after you turned something off: The PCS light also comes on when PCS or VSC (the stability control) is turned off. I cover that below.
Now Toyota's 2026 RAV4 manual doesn't use the beep rule. The PCS light just means PCS is off, limited or broken, and the message on the gauge screen tells you which. So on a 2026, read the message. Any 2026 message that says "Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" means a trip to a Toyota dealer.
And keep in mind, "Unavailable" doesn't mean your brakes are broken. Your regular brakes work exactly the same. You just don't have the automatic emergency braking until the message clears.
What each 2019 to 2025 message means
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Pre-Collision System Unavailable" | PCS is paused because the radar or the camera can't work properly right now. | Clean the emblem and the windshield, defog, and drive a few minutes. |
| "Radar Cruise Control Unavailable See Owner's Manual" | Radar cruise is paused until the problem in the message is fixed. | Clean the radar and the camera area. |
| "Radar Cruise Control Unavailable" (without "See Owner's Manual") | Radar cruise can't be used for now. | Use radar cruise again once it comes back. |
| "Front Camera Unavailable" | PCS, Lane Tracing Assist, the automatic high beams, Road Sign Assist and radar cruise can all pause at once. | Clean and defog the windshield in front of the mirror. |
| "Pre-Collision System Radar In Self Calibration Unavailable See Owner's Manual" (2023 to 2025) | PCS is paused while the radar calibrates itself. | Toyota says to check the emblem for anything stuck on it. |
| "VSC Turned Off Pre-Collision Brake System Unavailable" | You turned off VSC, so the automatic braking is off too. | Turn VSC back on, or restart the RAV4. |
| Any message with "Malfunction" | Something has actually failed. | Take the RAV4 to a Toyota dealer. |
So that's why owners often see a whole stack of messages at once. One dirty patch of windshield in front of the camera can knock out five features at the same time.
And if "PKSB Unavailable" or "Parking Assist Unavailable" shows up too, that's the parking sensors in the bumpers, which is a separate system. I cover that one in my PKSB Unavailable guide. For every other light, see my RAV4 warning lights guide.
Where the radar and the camera are on each RAV4
| RAV4 | Front radar | Front camera |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 to 2025, all models | Behind the Toyota emblem on the front grille. Toyota calls the emblem itself the "radar sensor cover." | Top center of the windshield, in the black housing in front of the rear-view mirror |
| 2026, all models | A small square panel just below the Toyota emblem, in the center of the nose. Some trims also have side radars at the front bumper corners. | Top center of the windshield, in the black housing in front of the rear-view mirror |
So on a 2019 to 2025 RAV4, the Toyota emblem on the grille isn't just a badge. Basically, the radar looks out through the emblem. One owner on RAV4World points out the radar actually sits under the plain shiny part of the emblem, the part with no printing.
Now the camera needs a clear patch of glass in front of it. On a 2019 to 2025 RAV4, Toyota's keep-clear zone runs from the top of the windshield to about 0.4 inches (1 cm) below the camera. And the keep-clear zone is about 7.9 inches (20 cm) wide, so about 4 inches on each side of center. On a 2026, Toyota's drawing marks about 1.6 inches (4 cm) around the camera.
How to clean the radar and the camera
So most of the time, this is the whole fix. You'll want a soft microfiber cloth and glass cleaner. I'd use the Invisible Glass Waffle Weave Glass Microfiber Towel ($4.99, checked Oct 15, 2026) and Invisible Glass Auto Glass Cleaner ($6.99, checked Oct 15, 2026). A RAV4World owner named that cleaner for getting film off the glass in front of the camera.
- Pull over somewhere safe and put the RAV4 in Park.
- Wipe the snow, ice, slush or mud off the Toyota emblem on the grille. On a 2026, also wipe the square panel under the emblem, and the front bumper corners if your trim has side radars. Toyota says to use a soft cloth so you don't scratch the radar cover.
- Clean the outside of the windshield in front of the rear-view mirror, across that keep-clear zone.
- Check that the wipers actually clear the glass in front of the camera. If they leave streaks or water droplets there, Toyota says to replace the wiper blades.
- If the glass is fogged on the inside, turn on the windshield defroster with the A/C on.
- If the RAV4 sat in the sun, run the A/C to cool the cabin. And if the RAV4 sat in the cold, run the heat.
- Drive normally for a few minutes. The message clears by itself once the sensors can see again.
- If the message is still there and everything is clean, turn the RAV4 off and back on. One owner on RAV4World cleaned the sensors while parked, and the message didn't clear until a restart.
Now a second owner in that thread used Zep Foaming Glass Cleaner. The Zep maker page for that product doesn't load, so here's a store search for Zep Foaming Glass Cleaner instead.
What not to put on the emblem or the windshield
- No stickers or covers on the emblem. Toyota says no stickers, including clear ones, no accessories and no paint on or around the radar cover. On a 2026, Toyota also names aluminum tape.
- No stickers or tint on the windshield in front of the camera. Toyota says no window tint on the windshield at all.
- Glass coatings are fine, but the wipers still have to work. Toyota allows a water-repellent glass coating, but says you still have to use the wipers in front of the camera.
- No front-mounted accessories in front of the radar. Toyota's 2026 manual names bull bars, license plate covers and grille badges. And on a 2026, Toyota says not to replace the radar cover with anything other than a genuine Toyota part.
- No long roof loads over the windshield. A kayak or surfboard that hangs down in front of the camera can block it.
What causes the messages, from Toyota's manuals
So Toyota's manuals list a lot of reasons for these messages. Here they are in plain words, with the fix for each one.
- Snow, ice, mud or water on the emblem. This is the classic winter cause. In an August 2026 RAV4World thread, owners of a 2020 LE, a 2022 Hybrid and a 2023 Limited said polish and water-repellent coatings didn't stop wet snow sticking. So the fix is to pull over and wipe the snow off the emblem.
- Fog, frost or ice on the windshield in front of the camera, inside or out. Use the defroster. A few owners got fog on the inside of the glass by the camera after running remote climate in a humid garage, and one after a new windshield.
- A hot camera after parking in the sun. Run the A/C. And something to note is that Toyota's manuals for all three generations say a reflective sunshade can bounce sunlight onto the camera and overheat it. A 2019 RAV4 owner and a 2025 RAV4 Prime owner both got camera messages after parking for hours in the heat or sun. Both messages cleared by themselves.
- A cold camera after parking somewhere very cold. Run the heat.
- A radar that's too hot or too cold. Toyota says the message clears once things change, or after you've driven for a while.
- The camera can't see the road. That includes darkness, heavy snow, fog, and bright light shining into the camera, like a low sun or oncoming headlights.
- The hood is open, or there's a sticker on the windshield in front of the camera.
- Road and weather conditions that confuse the radar. Toyota lists gravel roads, snow-covered roads with tracks, tunnels, truss bridges, guardrails, large trucks, manhole covers, heavy rain, and water or snow thrown up at the front of the RAV4. Toyota also lists steam, smoke, car washes and strong radio sources like TV towers and power plants. One 2020 LE owner gets "Front Camera Unavailable" on dusty gravel roads all year, and the message clears back on pavement.
- Open country with nothing around. On a 2023 to 2025 RAV4, Toyota says the radar may decide it can't read the surroundings, and shows "Pre-Collision System Unavailable." Toyota's 2026 manual is more specific. The 2026 can show "Front Radar Sensor Blocked" in open areas with few cars or buildings nearby, like desert, grasslands or even suburbs. Driving somewhere with buildings and other cars nearby clears the 2026 message.
- "Radar In Self Calibration." On a 2023 to 2025 RAV4, check the emblem for anything stuck on it. On a 2026, Toyota says the radar may be slightly out of line and adjusts itself while you drive, so keep driving for a while.
- Dirty or burned-out headlights. Toyota's 2026 manual lists a dirty, misaligned or burned-out headlight as something that can affect the camera.
- A lift kit or a sagging rear. Toyota's 2026 manual lists a changed ride height or tilt from modifications. A heavy load on the hitch can sag the rear too.
- 12-volt battery work, or a weak 12-volt battery. I cover this one in its own section below.
- VSC turned off. Also below.
And if you're driving in winter a lot, I go through the rest of the snow setup in my RAV4 in snow guide.
The 2026 RAV4's "System Stopped" messages
So the 2026 RAV4 uses Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, and its messages look different. The gauge screen shows an icon plus a "System Stopped" message. And one "System Stopped" message can cover a long list of features, from PCS and radar cruise to blind spot monitoring, the parking sensors and the driver monitor.
| 2026 message | What Toyota says to do |
|---|---|
| "System Stopped See Owner's Manual" | Check the voltage of the 12-volt battery. Then check the TSS sensors and the rear bumper sensors for anything covering them. The message may go away by itself once the sensors work again. |
| "System Stopped Front Camera Low Visibility See Owner's Manual" | Use the wipers and defog with the A/C. Then make sure the hood is closed, and remove any stickers in front of the camera. |
| "System Stopped Front Camera Out of Temperature Range Wait until Normal Temperature" | Cool the cabin if it's hot, or warm it if it's cold. A reflective sunshade can overheat the camera. |
| "System Stopped Front Radar Sensor Blocked Clean Radar Sensor" | Clean the radar and its cover. In open country with few cars or buildings, drive somewhere with more around you. |
| "System Stopped Front Radar Sensor Out of Temperature Range" | Wait for the radar to warm up or cool down. |
| "System Stopped Front Radar In Self Calibration See Owner's Manual" | Clean the radar, then keep driving. The radar adjusts itself while you drive. |
| "System Stopped Due to Battery Disconnection Continue Driving to Complete Self Calibration" | Keep driving. The 12-volt battery was disconnected, so the RAV4 is relearning the steering wheel's center point. |
| "System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" | Take the RAV4 to a Toyota dealer right away. |
Now "System Stopped See Owner's Manual" is the 2026 message to know. Toyota's 2026 manual makes checking the 12-volt battery the very first step, before cleaning anything. Basically, the 12-volt battery is the small regular car battery that runs the RAV4's computers. I show how to test the 12-volt battery in my RAV4 12-volt battery guide.
"Cruise Control Unavailable" on a 2026: press the switch once, firmly
So this one surprises people. On a 2026 RAV4, "Cruise Control Unavailable See Owner's Manual" also shows up when you press the driving assist switch several times in a row. The driving assist switch is the switch Toyota's 2026 manual uses to turn on cruise control. Toyota's fix is to press the driving assist switch once, quickly and firmly.
Two more 2026 details
- The 2026 heats the glass in front of the camera. If the 2026 RAV4 decides the windshield may be fogged, the RAV4 turns on a heater for the glass around the camera by itself. Toyota warns not to touch that spot until the glass cools, because the hot glass can burn you. Toyota's 2019 to 2025 manuals don't mention a heater like this.
- The 2026 has an air vent for the TSS computer. Toyota says not to block the TSS control unit air intake vent, and not to let water or anything else get into it. The drawing in Toyota's 2026 manual shows the vent on the floor at the base of a front seat, but the text doesn't say which seat. So keep floor mats, bags and drinks away from the bottom of the front seats.
Turning off VSC turns off the Pre-Collision System's braking
So VSC is Vehicle Stability Control, the system that keeps the RAV4 from sliding sideways. Some owners turn VSC off with the VSC OFF button to get unstuck in snow. But when you turn VSC off, the automatic emergency braking goes off with it. The gauge screen shows "VSC Turned Off Pre-Collision Brake System Unavailable."
Now the good news is PCS turns itself back on every time you start the RAV4. So if you or someone else switched PCS or VSC off by accident, just turn the RAV4 off and on again.
And two recalls can switch VSC off without you touching anything, which makes the PCS light come on. I list them in the recalls section below.
Don't pull the 12-volt battery to "reset" the Pre-Collision System
So some videos and forum posts say to disconnect the 12-volt battery for 10 to 15 minutes to reset PCS. I'd skip that, for three reasons.
- Pulling the 12-volt battery makes PCS unavailable, not fixed. Toyota's 2019 to 2025 manuals say PCS may not work after a 12-volt battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected, until you've driven for a while. And a 2026 shows its own message, "System Stopped Due to Battery Disconnection," until you've driven enough.
- Pulling the 12-volt battery wipes your settings. Pulling the 12-volt battery resets saved settings. And one owner says pulling the battery also reset the emissions readiness, which matters if you have an emissions test coming up.
- Pulling the 12-volt battery doesn't fix what's actually wrong. If the emblem is iced over or the camera is fogged, the message comes right back.
Now a weak 12-volt battery is a different story, and a weak 12-volt battery is worth checking for. RAV4World regulars say a fifth-generation RAV4 throws all sorts of false warnings when the 12-volt battery is weak, and they've said it in at least four threads. One 2022 RAV4 Hybrid owner listed "Pre-Collision System Unavailable" among about a dozen messages caused by a low 12-volt battery. And if you see "High Power Consumption Partial Limit On AC/Heater Operation" often, Toyota says the 12-volt battery may be wearing out. So test the 12-volt battery, and replace the 12-volt battery if the test shows it's weak. My RAV4 12-volt battery guide covers testing, charging and the right replacement size.
New windshield? The camera has to be recalibrated
So camera calibration is the big one if the messages started right after a windshield replacement. Toyota's 2019 to 2026 RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid owner's manuals all say the same thing. After replacing the windshield, the front camera must be recalibrated. Basically, recalibrating means a shop sets up a target board in front of the RAV4 and runs a scan tool. That sets the camera back to Toyota's factory settings.
The radar needs recalibrating too, in certain cases. Toyota says that's when the radar or the front grille is removed and put back or replaced, and when the front bumper is replaced. On a 2026, Toyota adds the rear bumper. And after any strong hit to the radar, grille or bumper, Toyota says to have the RAV4 inspected.
Now here's what to ask for when you get a new windshield.
- Give the glass shop your VIN. RAV4 windshields differ by trim. Some have the heated wiper area from the Weather Package, some have rain-sensing wipers, and the 2021 to 2025 Prime XSE and some 2026 trims have a head-up display. My windshield crack guide covers who pays and the glass choices.
- Ask for genuine Toyota glass, or confirm the exact part. Toyota Canada says a non-Toyota install "may not be able to ensure the camera is mounted and focused" the way the factory did. I-CAR, the collision repair training group, notes aftermarket glass may have a different black band or be missing the camera bracket. Several owners have used aftermarket glass with no problems, as long as the glass was the right part and the camera was calibrated.
- Make sure the camera calibration is part of the job. Never skip calibration, even if a shop says the camera works fine without it.
- Keep the calibration printout. If the messages start later, the printout shows the calibration was done.
And here's what owners on RAV4World and NHTSA, the US government's car safety agency, say they paid. These are owner reports, not quotes.
| What was done | Owner-reported cost | When reported |
|---|---|---|
| Windshield plus calibration at Safelite | Just over $800 | January 2021 |
| Windshield plus calibration, local shop quote | $700 to $900 | January 2021 |
| Windshield quotes: Toyota dealer vs Safelite vs a local shop without calibration | $1,400 vs $1,000 vs $500 | July 2021 |
| Windshield plus calibration at a shop, vs the Toyota dealer's price | $800 vs $1,600 | October 2025 |
| Calibration only, at a Toyota service center | $390 plus tax | July 2020 |
| Windshield plus calibration in Ottawa | C$500 glass plus C$225 calibration | August 2024 |
Something to note is that one used 2020 RAV4 owner got PCS and radar cruise warnings, and the Toyota dealer found the windshield had been replaced with non-Toyota glass. The dealer recommended a genuine windshield at about $1,000. So if you're buying a used RAV4, it's worth asking whether the windshield was ever replaced.
Toyota doesn't publish a price for camera calibration, so ask your dealer and a glass shop for a quote with your VIN. Toyota Canada's page on replacing windshields with Toyota genuine parts explains why Toyota wants genuine glass.
So ultimately, a new windshield on a RAV4 isn't finished until the camera has been calibrated.
Recalls and bulletins
So as of October 15, 2026, there's no recall for the Pre-Collision System, the front radar, the front camera or radar cruise. That goes for every 2019 to 2026 RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid, RAV4 Prime and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid.
But two recalls can turn on the PCS light indirectly, because they affect VSC. And when VSC is off, the PCS braking is off.
- Recall 19V-544, 2019 RAV4 Hybrid: the brake booster pump may fail, which turns off VSC and brake assist. The dealer inspects the pump and replaces it if needed.
- Recall 22V-239 (Toyota 22TA03), 2022 RAV4 Hybrid and 2021 to 2022 RAV4 Prime: if you turned VSC off, VSC may not turn back on after a restart. So you'd see "Pre-Collision Brake System Unavailable."
You can check your VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup or Toyota's recall lookup.
And there's no Toyota service bulletin that fixes PCS or radar cruise dropping out on a 2019 to 2026 RAV4. The only Toyota bulletins on these sensors are technician tips for calibrating the camera and radar, like T-TT-0663-21.
When it's a real fault
So here are the signs Toyota gives that the problem is more than dirt or weather.
- The PCS light comes on with a beep (2019 to 2025).
- Any message that says "Malfunction Visit Your Dealer."
- The message won't go away on a clean, dry, mild day after driving. Toyota says, "If the message does not disappear, contact your Toyota dealer."
- The messages started after a front-end hit, or bumper, grille or windshield work.
Now one real fault shows up again and again in owner reports, and that's a failed front camera. Basically, the front camera also runs the automatic high beams and Road Sign Assist. So a failed camera usually shows "Pre-Collision System Malfunction," "Headlight System Malfunction" and "RSA Malfunction" all together. Sometimes "LTA Malfunction" or "Front Camera Unavailable" shows up too.
And here's what owners report in NHTSA complaints and on RAV4World. These are owner reports, not confirmed by Toyota.
| RAV4 | What the owner reported | Cost or result |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 RAV4 | Internal front camera failure, code C1A95:00 | About $2,300, warranty denied (NHTSA, September 2025) |
| 2024 RAV4 | Front camera replaced at 2 years old | About $2,000 (NHTSA) |
| 2024 RAV4 | Front camera failure | Toyota approved goodwill, part backordered about 2 months (NHTSA, June 2026) |
| 2022 RAV4 Hybrid | Dealer quote for a camera plus calibration | CA$2,000 (RAV4World, July 2026) |
| 2025 RAV4 | Front camera on backorder | Fixed after 2.5 weeks, Toyota paid for a loaner (RAV4World, August 2025) |
| 2024 RAV4 Prime SE | Three malfunction messages at once, with a dash cam mounted by the camera | Fixed by reseating the plug inside the camera housing (RAV4World, April 2024) |
That's 6 NHTSA complaints about failed front cameras on 2022 to 2025 RAV4s, out of about 1,600 RAV4 complaints for those years. So a failed camera does happen, but how often isn't known.
Now the front camera is covered by Toyota's 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty. One owner says the warranty claim was denied inside that period, and another got goodwill help. So if you're just past the warranty, it's worth asking about goodwill.
What to ask the Toyota dealer
- "Please read the stored codes for the front camera and the front radar, and give me the code numbers in writing."
- "Is the camera or the radar out of alignment, or has one failed? What's the part number?"
- "Was my windshield replaced with the right glass, and was the camera calibrated?"
- "Please test my 12-volt battery."
- "Is this covered under my warranty? And if not, will Toyota consider goodwill?"
When Toyota says to turn the Pre-Collision System off
So Toyota lists times when you should switch PCS off yourself, because PCS could brake when it shouldn't.
When to turn PCS off on a 2019 to 2025 RAV4
- When your RAV4 is towing another vehicle, in Toyota's words, or is being towed itself.
- When the RAV4 is on a lift with the wheels spinning.
- After a strong hit to the front bumper or the grille.
- With very worn tires, odd-size tires, tire chains, the compact spare or the puncture repair kit.
- With equipment like a snow plow that blocks the radar or the camera.
When to turn PCS off on a 2026 RAV4
- When towing without Trailer Driving Assist.
- When the RAV4 is tilted from being overloaded or from a flat tire.
- At very high speeds, off-road, or when driving in a sporty way.
- In an automatic car wash.
- With a misaligned or bent sensor, the compact spare, or tire chains.
And radar cruise isn't for towing at all. I cover the cruise rules for towing in my RAV4 towing guide. For what to switch off before an automatic car wash, see my car wash checklist. And if you want to turn off PKSB, the automatic braking from the parking sensors, my guide to turning off automatic braking goes through every switch.
Videos worth watching
H Alganis clears the message by hand on a highway trip in a snowstorm. They don't say which Toyota or Lexus model it is.
- The message: The dash shows "Radar Cruise Control Unavailable" partway through the storm.
- The cause: They point to ice and snow packed on the emblem, with the radar behind it.
- The fix: They wipe the emblem clean by hand. The message goes once they drive and turn the cruise switch off.
- H Alganis's point: Even if you won't use cruise in a storm, the same radar runs the automatic braking, so it's worth clearing.
Consumer Reports shows where cars hide their sensors. It isn't RAV4 footage, but the same ideas apply.
- Where the sensors are: The backup camera, blind spot radars in the rear corners, parking sensors in the bumpers, and the forward camera behind the windshield.
- What blocks them: Ordinary dirt, snow or road salt.
- The fix: A microfiber cloth with soapy water.
- The windshield: Keep the washer fluid topped up, so the wipers can clear the glass in front of the camera.
Supreme Auto Glass replaces the windshield on a 2023 RAV4 and then calibrates the camera, so you can see what a proper calibration looks like.
- The old glass: The installer warns about metal tabs at the top and bottom of the windshield that can snap the cutting line.
- The target board: They set up a target board in front of the RAV4 and measure from the center of the car.
- The calibration: They run the calibration until the scan tool says "calibration successful."
- The scans: They scan the RAV4's computers before and after the job.
Buddy's take
So ultimately, if the PCS light comes on with no beep, Toyota says the problem is temporary, and the fix is usually the sensors. Wipe the Toyota emblem, clean the outside of the windshield in front of the mirror, defog, and drive a few minutes.
And if it beeps, says "Malfunction Visit Your Dealer," or started after a new windshield, that's a dealer or calibration job. On a 2026, check the 12-volt battery first. But I'd never pull the 12-volt battery to reset PCS, because that makes PCS unavailable until you drive.
So hopefully this saves you a trip to the dealer for what was just snow on the emblem.
